Talking head style video. Was the videographer for an online course for SkillShare.com. Created a fun blooper reel from the footage. A 7 hour shoot, over 2 hours of footage to create a 40 minute online course. Organized and passed on the footage to their editor to put together.
The text style was taken from vintage posters. The doodles was drawn to add interest. Choosing a color palette took around 4 hours placing it against various backdrops to make sure it stood out and did not clash. Something like this takes 2-3 days to do. The editing pacing, picking the music bed, doodling.
Motion Graphics. Speeded up the song of Selfies and then added lyrics to it (Motion Graphics). Passing emotion only via the text and font choices color shape and motion. Tested out a lot of effects like burns, glows to enhance the theme. Added weight to the animation to make it feel real and heavy, they way swing or the manner in which the motion of the text stops, it slightly sways because of the weight of itself. All done using Adobe After Effects.
Short film. A short film in the style of the famous Japanese director, Miyazaki. The relationship between food preparation and family. Shot with a sony A6000. Edited a 9 minute clip to a short 1:50 minute short film. Color corrected. No additional special effects. Music bed purchased to match the theme and feel of the video.
Music Video. Shot and edited. This is a brother and sister act doing a cover of the song 'Sorry' by Justin Bieber. Music composition by Jared (who you see in the video) Singing by his sister Kait. I shot and staged the shot. Around 3-4 hours of shooting. Did all the editing, post production, color correction and special effects (i.e. the flashing lights are all post production, changing color palette ). 20 hours of post.
